Research

Research Summary: Bioprospection, Metabolomics, Pharmacology, and Nanobiotechnology, as well as Herbal Product Development are the major research areas. We elucidate molecular mechanisms of actions of therapeutic phytochemicals for their anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-obesity, anti-oxidant and anti-quorum sensing activities. We also develop smart drug delivery systems using organic nanoparticles to enhance their bio-availability and therapeutic potentials.

Published over 69 SCI journal articles (Hi 35, citations >8200 as per Google Scholar), 2 patents awarded, 5 patents filed, 12 technologies/herbal products developed, 8 technologies/products licensed, 10 book chapters in his research areas and edited 1 book.

Young Scientist Award form Biotech Research Society, India (BRSI), Industrial Medal Award from BRSI, Young Scientist Fellowship Award from Department of Science and Technology are received.
