CSIR-NBRI Exposition Lucknow: A National Exhibition

The exposition of CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow was established in the year 1979 by then Director Dr. T.N. Khoshoo to commemorate the institute's Silver Jubilee. Along with popularization of science and technology, exposition constantly exhibits the institute's goal, R&D developments and accomplishments under one roof. The objectives and purpose of the exposition are as follows:


Objectives:

  • To create awareness and popularise about the institute’s R&D activities and capabilities to various distinguished visitors.
  • To display scientific models for science education and popularization of institutional products.
  • To display and popularise institutional publications.
  • To develop scientific attitude and temper among the students and researchers.
  • To inculcate scientific temperament among the visitors.
  • To supplement biological science education for students and researchers.
  • To create awareness about modern scientific and technical concepts.

Purpose:

The exposition of R&D activities and accomplishments of the institute and popularise botanical research among students, teachers and general public.


Current scenario of the exposition:

Presently, the exposition is located on the ground floor of the herbarium division in the K.N. Kaul Block. The information on following aspects are displayed in the exposition through beautifully illustrated posters, LED panels and models.
