Information & Communication Technology
Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Division has the prime objective of providing networking and computer services at the institute. Information and Communication Technologies looks after IT requirements of R&D projects and organization’s functioning. The major activities of the department are maintenance and upgradation of the NIC email accounts, institute website, intranet, network infrastructure viz. core, distribution and L2 switches, WAP, AEBAS devices, anti-virus and other servers.
A campus LAN (Local Area Network) has been set which connects together approximately 300 computers spread over the NBRI campus. The network utilises a mixture of optical fibre, UTP cables and switches. The internet access is provided through NKN NIC Link of 1Gbps. Email services are provided through NIC. Multilayered firewall and antivirus solution have been implemented to enhance the overall network security.

- Management of Network Security – UTM (Sophos XGS4500)
- Institutional Repositories
- Facilitating day to day troubleshooting, antivirus updates, projection facilities & other ICT related work.
